The Arctic Monkeys are playing the Lollapalooza ‘09 this Summer in Chicago. For those of us who are fans and can not make it to the windy city this time around there is a DVD recently released in the US that might mute the craving… if only temporarily.

The raw energy emitted from this disc alone warrants positive comment. The Arctic Monkeys are a band that was introduced via Pandora Radio (…just like momo has been harping on for these last few weeks). Curious at the name and hype I started a “station” on the site and have been enjoying the work of this band from High Green (Suburb of Sheffield), UK.

Who the F$#%^& K are Arctic Monkeys? Yes, exactly! The band titled one their early EPs just that way. Without fan provided demo tapes we might not have ever heard of these guys. Fan based websites promoted them to the point tat they could not be ignored by independent label Domino Records. Thanks fans!

Back to the live DVD…while footage of a concert rarely satiates…my personal favorite “505″ brings about the emotion that reminds me why a seek music (and art for that matter) in my life! Over all the disk get’s two thumbs up…way up.
