About tonymomoHello, I am Tony Momo and music is my life! Funny and weird but it's me. Well, a large part of who I am because I do have a life. If you don't, I suggest you get one. I am one of those shmos, who has a soundtrack running even when every devices is off. Yep, I am the guy with music going on the iphone speakers while sitting on the can or flipping you off in your car. For me, music has been a journey that began with Top 40 station 77 WABC out of New York. This was pre FM days, riding in my family's VW Beetle. Groovy! Even at a tender age, I hoped there was more than what Cousin Brucie had to offer. My dad saved me when he brought home a small FM, the only KLH radio of it's day. This served as the only source of new music at home for almost a decade. Two new stations, WPLJ and WNEW, opened a whole new world, that would later become Album Oriented Rock. I was swept away, hooked. Jazz and classical music also interested me but far less so. Concerts were an early draw, a passion. At 15 my friend Paul (Paul, you out there?) and I went to Asbury Park NJ to see first Black Sabbath and the following year Kiss...we slept on the beach. The Summer of 1977 put me face to face with Billy Joel, Lynard Skynard, Peter Frampton, ELP, Pink Floyd, Yes and Led Zeppelin (at MSG two nights in a row!) That's the past and the future of music is what intrigues me. This is why I started this blog. Let's track forward to today...we have sources for new music and artists, never before imaginable. Via shh-momo, I will share some of my experience with these sources, provide some insight into equipment, review anything and everything, how I find and listen to the freshest, undiscovered music, on the planet. Together we can broaden the depth and width of (our) musical journey. Let the adventure continue! See you out there. Tony Momo
